Matthew 6:25. Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what you shall eat, or what you shall drink; nor yet for your body, what you shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much better than they? 27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 28 And why take you thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things. 33 But seek you first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. [God cares for us much more than for the birds and flowers. Will He not also do good to us much more than they? See also Mt. 10:29 below.]

Luke 12:6 Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? 7 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: you are of more value than many sparrows. 32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. [See note for Mt. 6.]

3 John 11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that does good is of God: but he that does evil has not seen God.

Everything that God does is for our good. At times things may not appear that way, but later on or in eternity, we will see it. We can stake our lives on the fact that God was, is, and will be good. Only Satan is evil and desires our destruction. In fact, all of Godís commands for us are not for His benefit, but for ours. He made us and knows how we operate best.

In the passages above, we are told to be good as God is good. This is emphasized especially when it comes to those who try to harm us. That way we can demonstrate to all what our God is really like - good, even to those who hate Him. (And God is perfect, never deserving of the hate, unlike us.)

If God cares so deeply and intimately about each and every area of our lives, how dare we "get in His way" by fretting and worrying about it? Let's do what the above scriptures command and cast all our care totally on Him, holding nor taking nothing back.
