There will be
central truths presented here concerning the Christian life. Some of us need to
wake up to realize that they apply to us. Some are awake, but we need to rise
up and start doing these things. Others of us are doing, but perhaps we need to
make a more sure stand and commitment to them in our lives.
High time = a
certain definite time or season fixed by natural law and returning with the
revolving year, of seasons. Day time (bounded by the rising and setting of the
sun), definite time, point of time, moment
Rom. 13:11–14
And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of
sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The
night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of
darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.
Gen. 13:17
Arise, walk through
the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto
you. Josh. 1:2 Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over
this Jordan, you, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even
to the children of Israel. Is. 60:1–3 Arise, shine; for your light is come, and
the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. For, behold, the darkness shall cover
the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon you,
and his glory shall be seen upon you. And the Gentiles shall come to your
light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.
Eph. 6:10-14
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put
on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of
the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this
world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto
you the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day,
and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about
with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness. Stand -prolong,
establish, stand still, by, unharmed, firm, ready or prepared, to place, put,
set, in the presence of others, in the midst, before judges, before members of
the Sanhedrin; to make firm, fix, to cause a to keep its place, be kept intact
(of family, a kingdom), to escape in safety, to uphold or sustain the authority
or force of anything, place in a balance, to weigh: to stop, to stand
immovable, of the foundation of a building, continue safe and sound, to be of a
steadfast mind, of quality, one who does not hesitate, does not waiver.
This has
nothing, yet really everything to do with calling, gifting and leading. So
often we hear, 'I’m not called, gifted or feel lead', or 'I don’t know what my
calling, gifting or leading is'. Yet, God has made it clear in His word what we
all are to do, really what we are ALL called, gifted and
led to do. Here it is…
The first
clue is what is God seeking? We are told all through the word to seek
the Lord. But what is He seeking from us? – Seek – go about,
desire, to seek in order to find, by thinking, meditating, reasoning, to
inquire into, to seek after, for, or out, aim at, strive after, require,
demand, to crave, request, ask, begging, desire, exact, to seek the face.
John 4:23-24
But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the
Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship him.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in
spirit and in truth. Talk about ‘Freedom of Religion’. Talk about my choosing
to worship fully, regardless of others.
Eze. 22:30
And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand
in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I
found none.
Lk. 19:10 For
the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
God seeks
worshippers, intercessors and the lost (or those who will reach them).
What has God called
all of us to be?
Priests
and Kings – 1 Pet.
2:5, 9 You also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, a holy
priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus
Christ. But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation,
a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of him who has called
you out of darkness into his marvelous light:
Rev. 5:9-10
And they sung a new song, saying, "You are worthy to take the book, and to
open the seals thereof: for you were slain, and have redeemed us to God by your
blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; and havet made
us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth."
1 Pet. 3:9 Not
rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrary blessing; knowing
that you are thereunto called, that you should inherit a blessing.
Ambassadors
with the ministry and word of reconciliation – 2 Cor. 5:18-20 And all things are of God, who
has reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and has given to us the ministry
of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto
himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and has committed unto us the
word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ.
Warriors Ps 149, Eph. 6, 2 Cor. 10
Bride Rev 19 may have problem with this as
a male, but we need to embrace it – no pun intended. This is key. The reason
Jesus died was for relationship. Also Child, Friend, Brother. 1 Cor. 1:9
The 'one another's' in the Bible are things we are ALL called to do:
Rom. 12:10 Be
kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honor preferring
one another;
Rom. 13:8
Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that
loves another has fulfilled the law.
Rom. 14:13 Let us not therefore judge one
another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling
block or an occasion to fall in [his] brother's way.
Rom. 15:7
Wherefore receive one another, as Christ also received us
to the glory of God. 14 And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren,
that yoiu also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish
one another.
Rom. 16:16
Salute one another with a holy kiss. The churches of
Christ salute you.
1 Cor. 16:20
All the brethren greet . Greet one another with a holy
kiss.
2 Cor. 13:12
Greet one another with a holy kiss.
Gal. 5:13
For, brethren, you have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an
occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
Eph. 4:2
With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another
in love; 32 And be kind one to another, tenderhearted,
forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven
you.
Col. 3:13
Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another,
if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do
you. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching
and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,
singing with grace in their hearts to the Lord.
1 Thes. 4:9
But as touching brotherly love you need not that I write unto you: for you
yourselves are taught of God to love one another. 18
Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
1 Thes. 5:11
Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another,
even as also you do.
Heb. 3:13
But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day;
lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
Heb. 10:24
And let us consider one another to provoke unto love
and to good works: 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together,
as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another:
and so much the more, as you see the day approaching.
1 Pet. 1:22
Seeing you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit
unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that you love one
another with a pure heart fervently:
1 Pet. 5:14
Greet one another with a kiss of charity. Peace be
with all that are in Christ Jesus. Amen.
1 Jn. 3:11
For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one
another. 23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the
name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he
gave us commandment.
1 Jn. 4:7
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and
every one that loves is born of God, and knows God. 11 Beloved, if God
so loved us, we ought also to love one another. 12 No man
hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God
dwells in us, and his love is perfected in us.

And now I beseech you, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto you,
but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.
God has also called all of us to be intercessors. Here is a pattern of who we're to pray for and how we can begin to pray for them:

is a list of people you are responsible to stand in the gap for. God has given
you one degree or another of authority in their lives.

and countries God has put on your heart

Country, State or Province, County and City government
officials, executive, legislative and judicial where you live

Special folks that fall outside of this list.
Truly bless
us indeed richly (spirit, soul and body, financially and in our relationships),
enlarge our coasts and boarders (depth and breath of influence), keep Your hand
upon us (make us more and more aware of your presence) and keep (preserve,
deliver) us from evil.
